Sustainability has always been a core value at Pennine, but we have never before looked to measure and challenge ourselves to improve in such a structured way.
OUR AIM
As the saying goes “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, we have a lot of work to do, and our progress through this journey will be measured. By continuing this journey with structure and rigour we can improve our environmental and social impact whilst meet ever increasing customer and market demands. It is my belief that by doing so we can work towards a more sustainable future for both Pennine Weavers Ltd and the industry as a whole.
In 2023 we recycled…
Our aim in 2023 was to start to accurately measure the amount of cardboard, plastic cones, polythene and re-cyclable textile waste we re-cycle. We also wanted to begin a programme of education to ensure our employees understood the importance of recycling, and how everyone in the organisation could play their part.
